El pasado jueves 25 de Noviembre celebramos “Thanksgiving Day” con una obra de teatro representando la historia de los Pelegrinos y su viaje desde Inglaterra hasta Estados Unidos. Participaron niños y niñas de los grados cuarto y quinto.
La obra de teatro agrado mucho a la comunidad Angloamericana y nuestros estudiantes aprendieron un poco más sobre esta hermosa celebración.
Celebrating Thanksgiving Day is a great opportunity to introduce our students to the American culture and learn English in a fun way. This day is one of the most special holidays in the American culture. Everybody is thankful for each other and want to show it by sharing a meal with family and friends. This is also a great opportunity to teach our students the importance of having food every day. As a school, we are committed to teach our students good values and morals. We make it a point for our students to be aware of other people that do not have food, let alone a meal every day. As part of our teaching, we bring traditional food to homeless people and plenty of food is served all day.
